Hey there everyone!

Hope that all is going great back at home. We are having trouble down loading our blog, so if please don’t take it personally if you have made any comments that require a response. Hopefully we can get that worked out. I would love to hear from you all!

We are doing great, very tired, but having an excellent time. Today was our marathon site-seeing day. We began at 8 am and went non-stop until about 8:30 pm.

We went to Tiananmen Square, a beautiful pottery factory, The Great Wall and a duck dinner. No, the kids did not eat any duck. There were sound asleep at the table!

I wish that I had the ability to convey the amazing things that we saw today. It really is a completely different world over here. The people are very gracious and very quiet. That was one of the first things that struck me about China.  Despite the large number of people all around, it is very quiet.

They also walk very fast, and drive very fast. They are also fascinated by Livy’s curly hair. She has gotten used to the ladies coming up to her and touching her hair. We have no idea what they are saying, but they are amazed by it! We have also come to realize that all of the things we teach our children about bike safety are nonexistent over here.

The squatty potties are real! And they are everywhere! And yes, you need to bring your own t.p. with you when you are out and about.

Our itinerary has changed, we will be leaving for Kunming on Sunday night and getting Mia @ 9:30 on Monday the 11th!!!!!!! I can’t believe that this day is almost here.

Well, I could go on and on, but I won’t. I actually have already nodded off while writing this.

Take care and we love and miss you all.

Love,

Claire

Quiet?, O.K., I think our next camping trip should be to China! It looks beautiful. I wish we could all be there with you to welcome Mia! Can you imagine the orphanage if our Sunday lunch group showed up? See you soon,
Jeanie P.S. Love the hat, Claire:)
